Ever since I was a child, I’ve been drawn to computer science and mathematics. For a long time, cybersecurity was the thing that fascinated me most. But another idea kept pulling at me: could I build a chatbot that felt like a little clone of me—something people could talk to, even when I wasn’t around?

I remember tools like Cleverbot making that possibility feel real. If a computer could hold a conversation, why couldn’t I build something that reflected the way I thought?

By 2019, I was working with AI and training mixture-of-experts language models, well before today’s wave of everyday AI tools. I wanted to understand more than what a model could do. I wanted to understand the mathematics underneath it. That curiosity sent me through countless courses.

What I kept looking for, though, wasn’t another course. It was someone I could really learn with. The teachers who stayed with me were the ones who could talk things through, listen to my questions and make a difficult idea click. Too often, those were also the people with the least time to spare, stretched across so many other responsibilities.

Corporate life brought a different version of the same problem. I’ve spent lakhs of my own money on courses to get better and keep myself up to date. A company might give you a Udemy or Coursera subscription, but access to a library isn’t the same as having someone guide you through the work in front of you.

So I kept asking: why don’t we have someone who can guide us professionally, inside the workplace? Someone who understands our tools, our questions and what we’re trying to build?

I think about this especially when I meet startups with small teams and a lot of young people. There is so much curiosity and potential there. What’s often missing is someone with the time to help them connect what they’re learning to what their job actually needs.

That’s the kind of coaching I want to offer. Not just another course to finish, but a person to learn with, a real problem to work on and the confidence to keep going. Learning should feel like a conversation—and it should leave you able to do something you couldn’t do before.
